BRANDON LANG
THE PICK: Buffalo pick 'em at home against Seattle
OUTCOME: This guy knows what he's doing. The Bills blew 'em out 34-10. "Mr. Two For the Money" is 2-0 so far this season. He's the only one of us to come out of the gates undefeated. (That's Brandon with Matthew McConaughey, who played him in the movie.)
MASE
THE PICK: Oklahoma -21 1/2 at home against Cincinnati
OUTCOME: Brandon Lange fed me a bunch of that Cincy is 20-2 as a road dog against teams west of the Mississippi (or something like that). Bull. I don't believe in that crap. Sam Bradford threw 5 TD passes for the Sooners in a 52-26 win. Chalk one up for me after my misguided pick of Pitt over my alma mater Bowling Green last week.
DAVE SINGER
THE PICK: Penn St. -15 over Oregon St. at Happy Valley
OUTCOME: Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile. Old man Joe Paterno has found himself a quarterback in Daryll Clark, who threw for 2 TDs and 215 yards and ran for 1 TD and 61 yards in a 45-14 win.
A. MARTINEZ
THE PICK: San Diego -9 1/2 over Carolina
OUTCOME: The Chargers lost a heartbreaker as Jake Delhomme found Dante Rosario on a 14-yard TD pass lifting the Panthers to a 26-24 win. A. never had a chance with the big number. Our sometimes trusty sports update guy is now 1-1 with his 20 Star Picks.
JOHN IRELAND
THE PICK: Notre Dame -21 1/2 over San Diego St. at South Bend
OUTCOME: Notre Dame is awful, and John should've known better. Charlie Weis squeaks out a 21-13 win. Peanut Head is 1-1 on 20 Star Picks.
