I've done so many interviews during Super Bowl week, there's no way to get all of it on the air. I grabbed Seahawks kicker Josh Brown for a couple of minutes Friday. The NFL is trying something new this year. They are taping a Friday night gospel music concert that will air on the Gospel Music Channel Saturday night, February 9.
Josh Brown is part of the first-ever NFL Players Gospel Choir, which will be performing with CeCe Winans, Marvin Winans and the great Patti Labelle. Along with Josh, here are the other members of the choir.
Mike Adams (Browns)
Josh Brown (Seahawks)
Derrick Brooks (Buccaneers)
Chris Draft (Rams)
George Foster (Lions)
Michael Gaines (Bills)
Tommie Harris (Bears)
Brandon Jones (Titans)
Eddie Kennison (Chiefs)
Ray Lewis (Ravens)
Bryant McKinnie (Vikings)
Ovie Mughelli (Falcons)
Ryan Nece (Buccaneers)
Evan Oglesby (Cowboys)
Steve Pierce (Browns/Retired)
Duke Preston (Bills)
Frank Sanders (Cardinals)
Brad Smith (Jets)
Thomas Tapeh (Eagles)
Troy Vincent (Redskins)
Leonard Towey Weaver (Seahawks)
Roland Williams (Rams/Retired)
Gary Baxter (Browns)
Gerald Hayes (Cardinals)
Ken Harvey (Redskins/Retired)
Coach Tony Dungy (Colts)
It took some coaxing, but I finally get the Seattle kicker to sing a little "Amazing Grace" in this conversation. (He can definitely sing.) It's appropriate because most of us on radio row need "saving."
