Times and smiles are good in LA-LA land as championship hopes spring eternal once again. This time, though, the Lakers wont creep up on anybody. LAKER PRACTICE REPORT THURSDAY

Team held a 90 minute practice followed by film session. Kobe, Fisher and Pau were held out for rest.

Phil Jackson. one game at a time.
Phil Jackson. difference between last year and this.
Phil Jackson. on injuries to Garnett and Ginobli.
Phil Jackson. nobody is buying into the hype.

Derek Fisher. spring rolls around and Laker flags come out.
Derek Fisher. post-season no margin for error.

Andrew Bynum. we will all come out with energy.
Andrew Bynum. nobody is overconfident.
Andrew Bynum. anxious & excited after missing last years playoffs.

JERRY SLOAN PREVIEWS THE FIRST ROUND

Utah Head Coach Jerry Sloan didn't sound optimistic about his teams chances going into the playoffs against the Lakers.

From last nights post game.
1. "looks bleak".
2. "they just kill us with the way they pass the ball".
3. "Bynum a wonderful young player adds a lot to their team".
4. on having to play the Lakers "got no other choice we were not one of the top teams".
